September 26, 2021: Justin Tucker Kicks a 66-Yard Field Goal

September 26, 2021: Justin Tucker of the Baltimore Ravens sets a new NFL record, kicking a 66-yard field goal. It is the final play of a 19-17 Ravens win over the Detroit Lions, at Ford Field in Detroit.

It broke the record of 64 yards, by Matt Prater of the Denver Broncos in 2013. That broke the record of 63 yards, which had been done 3 times by that point. The 1st time was by Tom Dempsey of the New Orleans Saints in 1970. That field goal, like Tucker's was the last and winning play in a 19-17 win over the Lions, albeit in New Orleans instead of Detroit.

Tucker kicked another last-play field goal later in the season, a mere 36 yards, to beat the Minnesota Vikings in overtime. He was selected to his 5th Pro Bowl that season.
